# How to add images to your email templates

> A written walkthrough of the video showing where to upload images for email templates, since the template editor itself has nowhere to upload a file.

This is the written version of a short video answering a common snag: trying to drop a logo or a photo into an email template and finding nowhere to upload it.

Prefer to watch it instead? Here's the video:

<iframe width="100%" height="400" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/7KRPn_oo2hg" title="How To Add Images To Your Email Templates" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen />

For the full reference on the media library, see [Brand Wiki](/mortgage-crm/brand-wiki). This page just follows the video.

## Images live in Brand Wiki, not the email builder

The email template editor only takes an image **URL** — it has no upload button of its own. Images and video for your company live in one shared library instead: **Media Studio**, inside Brand Wiki.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Media Studio">
    Open the marketing suite, go to **Brand Wiki**, then the **Media Studio** tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add your image">
    Drop your file (JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, SVG, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, TIFF, up to 25 MB), or use **AI Generate** with a prompt, an aspect ratio, and a style to create one instead.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy the asset URL">
    Hover the image in the library grid and click **Copy** to copy its URL.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Paste it into your template">
    Back in the email template editor, paste that URL into the **Hero Image** field in the properties panel, or into an **Image** content block.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Anyone with workspace access can upload to the media library or generate images there, even without an administrator or marketing manager role. Deleting an item from the library is permanent and has no confirmation dialog.
