# Signing in

> Sign in to Leaf360, reset a forgotten password, accept an invitation, and fix the No Active Subscription Seat and No Workspaces Available screens.

You get into Leaf360 through its sign in page. Enter your email and password and Leaf360 takes you to whichever workspace you were last using. Read this page when you can't get in, when you're setting up a brand new account from an invitation, or when you land on a screen telling you that you have no seat or no workspace.

## Signing in

<Steps>
  <Step title="Go to the sign in page">
    Go to the sign in page. The box under the Leaf360 logo reads **Sign in to your Leaf360 workspace**. The heading above it changes from visit to visit, so don't use it to check you're on the right page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email and password">
    Fill in **Email** and **Password**. Check **Remember me** if you want Leaf360 to fill in your email address automatically next time on this browser. It remembers the address only, never the password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Sign in">
    Click **Sign in**. If your account has two factor authentication turned on, a verification step appears next. If your email address has never been verified, Leaf360 asks you to verify it before it will let you in.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Check where you landed">
    Leaf360 sends you to the starting screen for your current workspace: Wholesale CRM opens the dashboard, Recruiting opens the onboarding area, and Leaf360 Mortgage CRM opens **Ask LIA**.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  The sign in page also has a **Create an account** link under **New to Leaf360?**. If your company already uses Leaf360, you don't need it. You join through an invitation from your administrator instead.
</Note>

## Resetting a forgotten password

<Steps>
  <Step title="Select Forgot password?">
    Click **Forgot password?**, next to the **Password** label on the sign in page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your email address and select Send Reset Link">
    Leaf360 confirms with **Check your email**. That message appears whether or not an account actually exists for that address — Leaf360 does this for privacy — so it's not proof you typed the right one.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the link within an hour">
    The reset link expires one hour after it's sent. If nothing arrives, check your spam folder, or click **Try a different email** to send it to another address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the new password">
    The reset page checks that the link is valid, then asks for **New Password** and **Confirm Password**. The requirements are listed on screen and you need to meet all of them: at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number and one special character.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Reset Password">
    Click **Reset Password**. On success you'll see **Password Updated** and Leaf360 sends you back to the sign in page.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Warning>
  If the page says **Invalid Reset Link**, the link has expired or has already been used. Click **Request a New Link** and start again. Don't ask a colleague to forward you their link.
</Warning>

## Accepting an invitation

Your administrator invites you by email. When you open the link, Leaf360 checks the invitation before showing you anything.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Check the invitation details">
    The page shows the company you're joining, who invited you, the role you're being given and the email address the invitation was sent to. If the role looks wrong, stop and ask the person who invited you rather than accepting.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set your password">
    Fill in **Set Your Password** and **Confirm Password**. The password must be at least 8 characters and the two fields must match.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Accept Invitation">
    Click **Accept Invitation**. Leaf360 sets up your access and sends you to the sign in page. Sign in with the email address on the invitation and the password you just chose.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If the page says **Invalid Invitation**, the link was mistyped, has expired or has already been used. Ask your administrator to send a fresh invitation.

## No Active Subscription Seat

This screen shows up when your company's subscription doesn't currently include a seat for you, or when every seat it does include has already been given to someone else. It's a billing issue, not a broken password. Your credentials worked fine.

You have three ways to fix this, and which ones you see depends on how your company is set up:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Ask your administrator to add a seat">
    The usual fix. The page carries the line **Prefer your organization to cover your seat?** with a prompt to ask your admin, or to email `Info@leaf360.io`. Once they add the seat, click **Refresh Access** and you should be let through.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Continue with a free account">
    Some companies allow this. When yours does, a **Continue with a free account** box appears, naming your company and noting that the free account has usage limits and can be upgraded later. Click **Continue with Free Account**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Buy your own seat">
    When free accounts aren't allowed, the page offers self pay plans instead, currently **Core** and **Pro**, with a **Monthly** and **Annual** switch. Pick one and continue to checkout. Prices are shown on the page itself, so check them there rather than relying on a figure quoted anywhere else.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

**Refresh Access** rechecks your billing status without a full sign out, and is the first thing to try after somebody tells you a seat has been assigned. **Sign Out** returns you to the sign in page.

## No Workspaces Available

This screen shows up when your account isn't attached to any workspace you're allowed to open. The message tells you that you don't have access to any workspaces yet, and to contact your administrator.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Ask your administrator to assign you a workspace">
    Only they can do it. The page also offers `Info@leaf360.io` under **Need Help?**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Refresh Access once they confirm">
    Click **Refresh Access** once they confirm it's done. This reloads your access. If it still fails, sign out and back in so your session picks up the change.
  </Step>
</Steps>

You can also land here by trying to open a workspace you don't have access to. Leaf360 first tries to redirect you to a workspace you do have, and only shows this screen when there is none.

## Common problems

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="I get an error message under the sign in fields">
    The message is shown in full above the **Email** field. Retype the password rather than pasting it, and confirm you're using the email address your invitation was sent to. Repeated failures are a password problem, not a seat problem, so use **Forgot password?**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Leaf360 asks me to verify my email every time I try to sign in">
    Your address hasn't been verified yet. Complete the verification step shown on the sign in page. If the message never arrives, check your spam folder, then ask your administrator.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I signed in but landed in the wrong workspace">
    Leaf360 opens whichever workspace you were last in. Use the workspace switcher at the top of the sidebar to move, and your choice becomes the one you land in next time. See [Switching workspaces](/get-started/switching-workspaces).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="My reset email never arrives">
    Check spam first. If it still doesn't arrive, the address may not have an account attached to it, because the confirmation screen appears either way. Ask your administrator which address your account uses.
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>
