If you are a mortgage broker and a wholesale lender has invited you to work with them, you may be asked to set up an account in their broker portal. This is where you apply to work with that lender, upload the documents they need, and manage your own loan officers once you are approved. The broker portal is run by the lender you are applying to. It carries their name and branding, not Leaf360’s. Leaf360 is the software the lender uses to run it.

Getting in

You will get an email inviting you to set up your account. The email comes from the lender you applied to work with, and the link in it is unique to you, so do not forward it. Opening the link takes you to a short setup screen that already shows your name, email and company, pulled from your application. All you do is choose a password. Passwords need to be at least 8 characters, and the screen shows you how strong the one you typed is as you type it. Once your password is set, you are asked to add two-factor authentication using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. You can also choose Skip for now and set it up later from your account. If your invitation link has expired, the screen tells you so and asks you to contact the lender for a new one. If you already set up an account, it recognises that too and sends you to sign in instead.

Applying to work with the lender

Once you are signed in, a guided form walks you through the information the lender needs from you and your company to complete your application. Your progress saves as you go, so you can leave and come back to finish it later, and you submit it when it is complete.

Documents

Document Management is where you upload the paperwork your application needs: licenses, insurance, and anything else the lender has requested. Files upload directly and securely, and you can see the status of each one you have sent. Alongside this, a Docs Package section covers compliance documents specifically, uploaded the same secure way.

Your team

If you run a brokerage with your own loan officers, processors or assistants, Staff is where you manage them. You can invite a new team member by entering their name, email and role, and you can also import a list of staff from a spreadsheet rather than adding people one at a time. Each team member you invite gets their own invitation email to set up their own account, the same way you did.

Tasks

Tasks lists anything the lender has asked you or your team to do, for example a document they still need or a step in your application that is incomplete. You can see what is outstanding and mark items as done as you work through them.

Your profile

Your own profile holds your name, contact details, company information and a photo, and you can update any of it yourself at any time.

Renewing your agreement

If your agreement with the lender is due for renewal, you will get a separate renewal email with its own link. Opening it confirms who you are and gives you a code to carry your renewal forward, then sends you to sign in.

Getting help

A Help & Support section inside the portal lists ways to reach the lender’s team if you get stuck, along with answers to common questions.
