If you work for a wholesale lender and a mortgage broker’s company has invited you in, the lender portal is where you manage how that company and its loan officers see and work with you. It is not a place to view individual loans or borrower information. Think of it as your company’s public profile plus a way to hear from loan officers who want to connect with you.

Getting in

There are two ways you might end up here. Most often, someone at the broker’s company sends you a personal invitation by email. The link takes you to a screen that already shows who invited you, and asks you to fill in your name, title, phone number and a password to finish setting up your account. Once you submit it, you are signed in right away. You may instead be given a shared link that anyone on your lending team can use to join. On that screen you enter your own name, email, your company’s name and NMLS number, and a password. If the company can match you to a known lender straight away, you are signed in immediately. If not, your request is held for the broker’s company to review, and the screen tells you it is pending rather than pretending you are in. After that, signing back in just needs your email and password, plus a one-time code if two-factor authentication is turned on for your account.

Your profile

Your Profile is what loan officers see about your company when they are looking for a lender to work with. It covers your company name and NMLS number, the type of lender you are and the channels you work through, your website, a short description, the loan products and income documentation types you support, the states you are licensed in, general credit guidelines such as minimum credit score and loan-to-value ranges, typical turn times, and your key contact details. You can update any of it yourself, and you control whether your listing is visible.

Your documents

Documents is where you upload your guidelines, rate sheets and matrices. These are not just for reference: loan officers can ask Leaf360’s assistant questions about your guidelines, and it answers from whatever you have uploaded here. Keeping this current is how you make sure loan officers get accurate answers about your products.

Connections

Invitations (sometimes labelled loan officers) lists people who want to connect with you. Each one shows the loan officer’s name, contact details and company. You can accept a connection, which lets that person and their company start sending you business, or decline it.

Your account

Your account page covers your own name, title, phone number and photo, plus your password and two-factor authentication settings. Changing your password takes effect immediately and signs out any other active sessions.
