This is the written version of a video showing how to customize the focus bars in your sales pipeline and your business partners pipeline. Both work the same way. Prefer to watch it instead? Here’s the video:
For the full reference on pipelines and stages, see Pipeline Stages. This page just follows the video.

The three pipelines

Leaf360 has three pipeline types, and they’re used differently:
  • Sales pipeline — for clients who are pre-application: leads and prospects.
  • Loan pipeline — for clients who are actually applying and already exist in the LOS. This is customized differently and covered in a separate video.
  • Business partners pipeline — for your referral partners, like real estate agents.
Sales and business partners pipelines customize the same way. The steps below use the sales pipeline as the example.

How focus bars work

Each pipeline is split into sub-pipelines (for example Prospects, Nurture, Application Sent), and each of those has a row of focus bars — the filtered lists inside it, like New Prospect, Connected, Hot and Warm under Prospects.
1

Open Customize

Click Customize on the pipeline you want to edit.
2

Understand the match setting

Each focus bar is built from filter conditions, for example lead status is Hot, Warm, Connected or New Prospect. Set it to Match any condition so a lead only needs one of them. Setting Match all condition instead would require a lead to carry every condition at once, which usually breaks the list.
3

Watch leads move automatically

Change a lead’s stage — either from the pipeline itself or from inside the client’s profile — and Leaf360 automatically moves them into whichever focus bar matches their new status.
4

Add or remove focus bars

Click the delete icon to remove one. To add one, name it, set its filter condition, and click Save Pipeline. The same underlying list can appear in more than one pipeline — that’s expected.

List view vs. Kanban

Customizing only happens in List View. Kanban shows the same focus bars as deal cards, but you can’t edit the filters from there directly — changes made in List View show up in Kanban automatically.

Days in Current Status: building an aging progression

The Application Sent section shows a more advanced example: an extra condition called Days in Current Status, which is time-based rather than a fixed field. You can stack several focus bars with different day ranges to build a progression, for example:
  • Less than 3 days
  • More than 3, less than 7 days
  • More than 7, less than 30 days
  • More than 30 days
As time passes without the client applying, they automatically move from one focus bar to the next, so the list keeps itself current without manual work. If a client does apply, they move automatically into the loan pipeline instead.

Doing the same for business partners

The steps are identical for real estate agents and other business partners: click Customize, choose the pipeline, and build focus bars the same way. Instead of lead status, you’re filtering on contact fields like contact type, tier level, priority, or referral count.
