This is the written version of a short video showing what to do if you added a realtor (or any other referral partner) to your leads when they should have been a business contact instead. Prefer to watch it instead? Here’s the video:
For the full list of bulk actions on the leads list, see Sales Pipeline. This page just follows the video.

Moving a lead to a business contact

1

Find the lead

Go to your sales pipeline, open All Leads, and find the person who should actually be a referral partner.
2

Select and move

Check the box next to them, then choose Move to Contact from the bar of bulk actions.
3

Fill in the details

Pick the contact type (realtor, investor, insurance agent, title, or any other partner type), set yourself as the primary loan officer, and add any collaborators.
4

Confirm the move

Check the confirmation and move them over. They get pushed into the referral partner section you picked.
This works for any partner type — realtors, investors, insurance agents, title, and so on.
Move to Contact is not a copy. The lead becomes a business contact and the original lead record is permanently deleted — see Sales Pipeline for the full warning.
If you’re creating a referral partner from scratch instead of converting an existing lead, do that directly from Business Contacts, or from inside any partner pipeline. See Build a Pipeline For Your Real Estate Agents.
