Leads are borrowers. Real estate agents, title companies, insurance partners, and everyone else you work with are business contacts and live on Contacts instead — a separate list from your leads.
The top of the screen
Your pipeline’s name sits at the top left with an arrow beside it. Click it to switch between the pipelines and stages your company has set up, and to create a new pipeline. Next to the name are two numbers: how many leads match your current filters, and their combined value — the total loan amount across the leads currently on screen. Two buttons round out the row:List view and board view
You can view your leads as a List or as a Kanban board — a set of columns by lead status that you drag cards between. Which one opens by default is saved to your account under Pipeline View in Settings, so it follows you no matter which computer you’re on. If you switch views by hand, that only lasts until you leave the page.Finding leads in the list
1
Search
Search by name, email, or phone… at the top left searches every lead your filters allow, not just what’s currently on screen.
2
Filter by a column
Click any column heading to sort it, and to filter it if that column supports filtering.
3
See what filters are active
Any filters you’ve applied show up as small tags next to the search box, each with an X to remove it. Clear all removes them at once.
4
Narrow to one person's leads
A team filter lets you limit the list to one loan officer’s leads. This is a paid feature, so it won’t appear if your plan doesn’t include it, or if you don’t have any other team members yet.
What you can filter by
The date filters also let you type in your own custom window. Checking more than one box widens the list rather than narrowing it — you’re saying “match any of these,” not “match all of these.”
Sorting follows the type of column: A → Z for names, Low → High for numbers, Oldest → Newest for dates, and so on.
Saving a filter for later
Smart Filters lets you save a combination of filters under a name you pick, so you can reapply it later with one click instead of rebuilding it. Once you have any saved, a trash icon next to each lets you delete it.The Credit filter
If your company has credit monitoring turned on, a Credit button shows leads whose credit picture just changed — for example, someone who May requalify or is Shopping again. Those leads also get a small label next to their name in the list. If your company doesn’t use this feature, you won’t see the button at all.Choosing which columns show
Click Columns to turn columns on or off, search for one by name, or drag to reorder them. Show all, Hide all, and Reset order are there too. Out of the box you’ll see the basics: name, email, phone, source, lead status, priority, who’s on the lead, loan amount, probability of closing, tags, and when they were created or last contacted. You can turn on plenty more — referral partner, loan product, property details, income and employment, first-time buyer and veteran status, and more — grouped by topic in the column picker. Anything not shown by default starts turned off. Whatever columns you pick, and the order you put them in, stick around the next time you’re on the same computer. The status column is labeled Lead Status, not “Stage.” It’s the status list your company set up under Lead Statuses in Settings.
Opening and reaching out to a lead
Click a lead’s name to open their full record — clicking anywhere else on the row does nothing. Right-click a row for quick actions: open the lead, open it in a new tab, or copy a link to it. Two other things work right from the list: click the email to open a message to that person, or click the phone number to call or text them. If a lead is sitting in a shared queue waiting to be claimed, you’ll see a Claim Lead button instead of a name on the team, telling you which queue it came from.Working with many leads at once
Check the box next to a lead, or the box at the top of the list to grab the whole page. Once you’ve selected some, a bar appears above the list telling you how many, with a Select all option if you want everything that matches your filters — not just what’s loaded on screen. Clear deselects everyone.
Archive and Delete both ask you to type something before they’ll go through — the person’s first name if it’s just one lead, or the word
confirmed if it’s several. Nothing happens until what you type matches.
Exporting your list
Export gives you up to four choices: just what you’ve selected, or everyone matching your filters, and either the columns you’re currently viewing or every field on file.Paging through your list
You can show 10, 25, 50, or 100 leads per page. A counter above the list tells you which slice you’re looking at. If nothing matches, you’ll see No leads found.Working the board view
The board lays your leads out in columns by status. On the plain All Leads view, the columns are fixed: No Contact, Contacted, Hot, Warm, and Cold, followed by one more column for any other status your leads are actually sitting in. No Contact isn’t a single status — it groups together everything at New, New Lead, Lead, Pending Contact, or Contact Attempted, which is why it’s usually your biggest column. Each column shows its name, a color, how many leads are in it, their combined loan amount, and a short note on what the status means.- Drag a lead’s card from one column to another to change their status.
- The plus at the top of a column starts a new lead already set to that status.
- Columns load a page at a time — scroll to the bottom of one to load more.
This board view is also where you add a lead by hand — there’s no Add Lead button on the list. Use the plus on the column you want the lead to land in. The form only requires a First Name; everything else — contact info, source, loan officer, loan type, purchase price, income, and so on — is optional at that point.
When a status change won’t go through
Your company can require certain things to be done before a lead can reach a given status — say, a document collected or a field filled in. If one of those is missing, you’ll see a Status change blocked message instead of the move going through. It tells you which status you were trying to reach and lists exactly what’s still missing. If something just needs a quick answer, you can often fill it in right there with Quick fix, or click Open lead to go finish the rest on the record itself. If you’re an administrator, you’ll also see an Override option, which asks you to type a reason before it lets the move through anyway.Focus views
If you got to this screen from a specific pipeline stage rather than the plain Sales list, you’ll see a row of focus views above the search box — shortcuts your company set up to jump straight to leads matching certain conditions for that stage. These are configured alongside your pipeline stages; see Pipeline stages. You won’t see this row on the plain All Leads view, since it isn’t tied to one specific stage.Common questions
The value number looks too low
The value number looks too low
It only adds up the loan amounts on leads currently loaded on screen, not everyone matching your filters. The leads count next to it is the real total.
A lead I'm expecting isn't showing up
A lead I'm expecting isn't showing up
Check your search box, any column filters, and the team filter, then check whether a focus view is selected. After that, check the archive — archived leads won’t show here.
I selected everyone but only some leads changed
I selected everyone but only some leads changed
The top checkbox only grabs the current page. Use Select all in the bar above the list instead — though Power Dial and Merge always work from what’s loaded, even then.

Your column choices are remembered on the computer you set them on. Filters you saved under Smart Filters are tied to your account instead, so those do follow you anywhere.

A pipeline your company built from scratch needs its stages and focus views configured before it’s ready. Open Manage Pipelines to add them; see Pipeline stages.
