This is the written version of a short video showing why you’d give a real estate agent or other referral partner their own login, instead of fielding a text every time they want a status update. Prefer to watch it instead? Here’s the video:
For the full reference on what a partner can see and do once they’re in, see Partner Portal. This page just follows the video.

Why give them a login

The Partner Portal gives a referral partner their own sign-in instead of relying on a text or a phone call for updates. Once they’re in, they can see the clients you’re working on together, share new leads with you directly, and communicate back and forth — without going through you for every status check.
1

Open the partner's contact record

Go to your business contacts and open the partner you want to invite — for example, a realtor.
2

Find the Partner Portal section

On the bottom left of their contact record is a Partner Portal section. Here you can assign a primary loan officer (the main contact for that referral partner) and add additional team members who should also have access and be able to share leads. If you don’t add other connected loan officers, the partner will only see you.
3

Send the invite

Once you’re ready, send the invite. They’ll get an email that says “Hey, you’re invited to the Leaf360 partner portal,” which they can accept by clicking Set Up Your Account or the link in the email.
4

They set a password and they're in

As long as they set a password, they’ll have full access to the portal — and you can resend the invite from the same section if they need it again.
What a partner can see is scoped carefully — no credit score visibility unless a lead is directly credited to them, no SSN, income, or your team’s internal notes. See Partners Overview for the full field-by-field breakdown of what does and doesn’t cross over.
